Scientific Information

Official Language

English will be the official language of the Symposium. There will be no simultaneous translation.

Oral Presentations

Computer projection facilities (for PowerPoint presentations) will be available in the meeting rooms. Presenting authors will receive all technical information and instructions prior to the Symposium in order to ensure the smooth running of sessions.

Session types

Sessions of different formats will cover the most important topics in dermatology and venereology.

Subjects will be treated with different approaches and from different perspectives depending on the type and structure of the session.

Clincal updates: This session provides an update on current clinical practice in different fields of dermatology. It enables participants to hear about the latest clinical developments, guidelines and practical knowledge.

Problem based learning: in this new session participants learn about a subject through problem-soving. The processing of new information is indeed facilitated by discussion of a relevant problem in the field of dermatology. The main objective is to develop knowledge and skills that might be used in future daily practice.

Breaking news: This session provides an update in different rapidly changing fields of dermatology. It is a critical analysis of published data of last years, including new relevant information and latest development. The objective is to provide new clinically relevant and practical applicable information

Oral e-poster presentations

All sessions are available to all registered participants and entry will be made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Oral e-poster presentations

Authors of the most highly ranked abstracts assessed by a selected panel of abstract reviewers may be invited to provide a short oral presentation during the appropriate thematic sessions. The authors will have 7 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for discussion. A short PowerPoint presentation may be used, with the first slide disclosing any conflict of interest. Presenting authors will receive all technical information and details prior to the Symposium.

Registration Note: Please note that the acceptance of your abstract does not include the conference registration. All attendees are therefore kindly requested to register for the Congress at https://eadvporto2020.org/register/

e-Posters

Abstracts selected as e-posters will be available for viewing during the Symposium in the e-Poster area. Approximately 20 computers will be provided and exclusively reserved for e-Poster consultation. Posters can be read sequentially by number, submission topic or searched individually by title, keyword or author.

All e-Posters must be submitted electronically through the M-Events website. Authors will receive an e-mail from M-Events (our service provider) with all technical information and details prior to the event.

Instructions for e-Poster presenters

  • Only material in PDF format will be accepted
  • All e-Posters should be created in landscape orientation
  • To assure the best quality of your e-Poster, we recommend that the .pdf file has the size of an A0 sheet (1189mm x 841 mm or 46.81 inches x 33.11)
  • If you are using Photoshop to create your e-Poster, the resolution should be a minimum of 200dpi
