CME-CPD

Continuing Medical Education-Continuing Professional Development

The EADV will apply for European accreditation through the EACCME (the European Accreditation Council for CME). The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) for mutual recognition of accreditation of EU-wide and international CME-CPD activities for live educational events.

Procedure to gain CME-CPD credits

The EADV offers individual CME-CPD participation through the scanning of the barcode you have on your registration badge and you will be accredited only with the hours recorded by the scanning process.

When visiting scientific session, hostesses will scan the badge as you pass through the entrance of each session hall.

CME-CPD credits can be claimed from the EADV certificate download page after you evaluate the sessions attended. Evaluations can be easily completed online during or after the event, either on the website or via the EADV Event App.
Evaluation data is essential to our statistics and is of considerable help in the choice of future topics and speakers. Your feedback and comments are greatly appreciated.

Credit breakdown for the Porto Spring Symposium will be published on this page soon, once the event has been officially accredited by the UEMS-EACCME.

NOTE: Credits are NOT granted by the EADV for participation to Subspecialty meetings nor Industry sessions.

Conversion of credits

Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Please refer to the national CME-CPD authority in your country of practice for the exchange of CME-CPD credits/points.
